July 4th weekend Part I

We just got back from spending a long weekend at the lake for the 4th of July. It was a much needed respite from the hectic life here at home. The kids had a great time, we had a great time with the kids and they didn't fuss at each other. :)

Saturday night we had dinner with Mom, Dad and the neighbors at the lake. We had a yummy cookout featuring a Cajun shrimp boil. For dessert we had vanilla and peach homemade ice cream, margarita's and great company! Sunday we spent the day playing on the lake and took an evening boat ride up the lake to a big fireworks display over the water. Lilli was so tired from the day's activities, she slept thru most of the fireworks. After the fireworks display, we came back to have a little birthday celebration for Evan with Mom and Dad. Monday Mom and Dad had to head home so it was just Kurt, the kids and I (along with Sophie) on the lake.
